Infection Control has always been a top priority for our practice. Aside from our strict sterilization and infection control protocols, we have added new systems, procedures, and equipment to protect patients and staff.
Updated Personal Protective Equipment
N95 Respirators
Face shields, Goggles/Dental Loupes (disinfected after every patient)
Gown laundered/disposed after each patient.
Gloves
Head covers
New Equipment/Procedures in Treatment Rooms for Increased Air quality
Use of an antimicrobial rinse with hydrogen peroxide to reduce viral concentration in the mouth prior to procedures.
Use of intraoral isolation devices such the Dryshield Isolation System or the ReLeaf HVE system during procedures to reduce aerosols and minimizes the risk of infection.
Use of high volume suction at all times to reduce aerosols.
A dedicated air filtration system, Surgically Clean Air, is installed exclusively for each treatment room for an additional level of protection.
Use of sprayers and low volume foggers with EPA approved anti-COVID disinfectants for the disinfection of operatories in between patients.
New protocols include:
All staff will be screened daily including temperature checks and COVID-19 screening questions prior to entering the dental office.
Our office will communicate with patients beforehand to ask COVID-19 screening questions. They will be asked those same questions again when they are in the office.
We will do temperature checks for patients prior to them entering the dental office.
Only the patient is allowed into the facility. Any accompanying family member will need to wait outside of the facility.
If the patient is a minor, only 1 parent will be allowed to accompany the child unless prior arrangements are made.
All patients will wear a mask at all times while not receiving care.
All patients and visitors will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the office, after using the restroom, and before and after entering treatment rooms.
We are implementing new scheduling protocols to limit the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
In our waiting room, some chairs have been removed and minor redecoration will be done to create defined spaces more than 6 feet apart for patients.
Plexiglas shields are installed in the waiting area and patient treatment rooms.
